About this site
Business Loan Readiness is a free, independent educational website that helps small businesses get organized before talking to lenders about SBA loans. This page explains who runs it, how it is funded, and the commitments behind it.
What the site does
A guided pre-screen that explains which SBA loan programs may be worth discussing with lenders; a full loan-document guide with clear explanations; printable prep sheets for the first lender meeting and the personal financial statement; and free business plan and projections builders. Everything is free, nothing requires an account, and the site is available in English and Spanish.
Who runs it
The site is independently built and operated from Sacramento, California. It is not run by, funded by, or affiliated with the U.S. Small Business Administration, any government agency, or any lender. Questions and corrections reach us through the Help & feedback link in the footer of every page.
How it is funded
The site is currently self-funded by its builder. No organization pays to be listed or mentioned, no lender pays for placement, and there is no advertising. If the funding model ever changes, this page will disclose it first.
Our commitments
- Free for businesses, always. No paywall, no trial, no paid tier.
- No ads and no paid placement. We accept no compensation from any lender for placement or introductions.
- No personal information collected. Using the site requires no name, no email, and no sign-up — see the privacy page for the full details.
- Every result comes from a deterministic rules engine based on public SBA guidance — this website does not use AI.
- No lender directory: this site names no lenders and steers you toward none. Your lender conversation stays yours.
What this site is not
Not a lender, not a broker, not financial, legal, or tax advice, and not an application. Nothing here is a prequalification, quote, approval, or denial — only lenders make loan decisions, after reviewing full documents.
